Peggy Porschen Cakes in London is a pile of pastels and flowers, serving heavenly creations of sugar and fruits. If you ever feel that you are in need of some sweetness, maybe head on over.
I went to visit Peggy Porschen Cakes with a friend who actually really wanted to visit when she came to London. To be honest, if not for her, I’d never have visited, despite being an avid baker. But since I am not into cupcakes and tartlets, Peggy Porschen Cakes was not on my radar at all.
The interior is just as pastel as the outside. I have been reliably informed, that it changes every so often to reflect the season and any holidays. We had cupcakes, lemon tarts and coffee. Picking from the selection was hard since everything looked really good and there were lots of different flavours on offer.
Amongst other things, I had an Eaton Mess as well as a Strawberry Chocolate cupcake. While they were an absolute delight to the eyes I found both overly sugary and the cream to cake ratio to be less than optimal. But I guess for a memorable highlight and a sugar-high, Peggy Porschen Cakes was definitely the perfect place.
