There are many things to do and sights to see in Beijing. So many in fact, that you’ll likely need several trips (or months) to see them all.
The Lama Temple in Beijing is one of the many must do’s. Located more in the north of China’s capital, it was once an actual palace before being converted to a temple.
I am not much for bike riding anymore. During my school time, I’d bike everywhere. But since then, my commute has always been public transport based. And even though Germany is often described as bike-friendly, I never really felt safe biking. Until I went to Beijing.
Besides the Forbidden City, there is plenty more to see and do in Beijing. One of my favourite historic sites is the Temple of Heaven, a sprawling park with beautiful historic buildings and the aforementioned temple.
One of the must do’s on everyone’s Beijing lists surely is the Forbidden City. Once politically the heart of China, it now sits at the geographical heart of the Chinese capital.
I landed in Beijing on Sunday. It’s now Friday, my first week is almost over, and I feel like I’ve entered a new dimension of reality.
